*Islamabad, August 19, 2025* — India has issued a *Notice to Airmen (NOTAM)*reserving portions of its airspace near the Line of Control (LoC) foran *IndianAir Force (IAF) exercise* scheduled from *19 to 21 August 2025*.
The move has drawn close attention in Pakistan, where observersanticipate *increasedPakistan Air Force (PAF) activity* in the corresponding sectors to ensurevigilance and readiness.
According to aviation tracking sources, the restricted airspace coversareas adjacent to Pakistan-administered Kashmir. Such NOTAMs are standardpractice ahead of large-scale *aerial drills*, involving fighter aircraft, transport planes, and support units.
While neither New Delhi nor Islamabad has issued official statementsregarding the exercise, security analysts suggest the timing and locationindicate a *signal of preparedness* amid ongoing regional tensions.
“Whenever the IAF conducts major air drills near the LoC, the PAF typicallymirrors with heightened activity, including *combat air patrols, radarsurveillance, and standby deployments*,” said a defense analyst familiarwith regional air operations.
The exercises are expected to remain within national boundaries, but theirproximity to sensitive zones has raised interest among defense watchers.Such maneuvers often serve *dual purposes*: training for air forcepersonnel and strategic messaging to the neighboring side.
Civilian flight routes are not expected to be significantly affected, though minor adjustments could occur in the designated airspace during thethree-day period.
With both air forces maintaining a high degree of operational readiness, the coming days may see *intensified aerial activity* along the LoC,closely monitored by regional and international observers.
