LAHORE: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Sunday stated that Pakistan possesses video evidence confirming the downing of all six Indian fighter jets by the Pakistan Air Force during the recent Marka-e-Haq operation.
Speaking at a seminar titled “Global Impacts of Pakistan’s Military and Diplomatic Victories over India”, organized by the Waris Mir Foundation at Aiwan-e-Iqbal, Naqvi lauded the efforts of Pakistan’s armed forces, intelligence agencies, and national leadership in securing victory during the May 2025 conflict.
He noted that every move by the Indian forces was intercepted in advance. After downing the jets, Pakistan chose to withhold the announcement until concrete evidence was obtained.
“The videos of all six destroyed Indian aircraft were obtained within minutes, and I am revealing this today,” Naqvi said, adding that while radar data was available immediately, the leadership preferred to wait for field evidence.
The minister highlighted the pivotal role of intelligence agencies, which provided advance information on Indian operational plans, flight movements, and strategies. “Our intelligence worked silently but decisively behind the scenes and deserves full recognition,” he said.
Paying tribute to the “hidden soldiers” of intelligence, Naqvi also mentioned divine support during the conflict, citing that India fired seven missiles at a Pakistani military base but none hit their targets. “Faith, belief, and determination are weapons that invite Allah’s help,” he remarked. He praised Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir for responding with courage and precision, noting that Pakistan struck multiple strategic targets inside India and achieved all set objectives.
Recalling a meeting with a Saudi delegation during the conflict, Naqvi quoted Field Marshal Munir comparing India to a “shining car” and Pakistan to a “loaded dumper,” implying the inevitable outcome of their confrontation.
The minister emphasized the unity of Pakistan’s civil and military leadership, contrasting it with internal divisions in India, where the army and air chiefs reportedly held separate meetings with Prime Minister Modi. He accused Indian leaders Ajit Doval and Amit Shah of orchestrating the Pulwama “false-flag drama” that triggered the conflict, warning that their policies would ultimately backfire on India.
Naqvi also praised the political consensus in Pakistan during the war, noting that all major parties stood united. He highlighted PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s diplomatic efforts abroad, while the Indian delegation reportedly faced challenges in international lobbying.
He accused India of openly sponsoring terrorism in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and claimed Pakistan has concrete evidence of New Delhi’s involvement. Naqvi reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to the Kashmir cause, pledging to continue supporting the Kashmiri people in exercising their UN-mandated right to self-determination.
