*Islamabad – August 14, 2025:* On the eve of Pakistan’s 78th IndependenceDay, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced the formation of the *PakistanArmy Rocket Force Command*, marking a significant milestone in thecountry’s defence strategy.
According to a BBC Urdu report, the newly established command will beequipped with modern technology and designed to bolster Pakistan’s*conventional* military capabilities, enabling faster and more precisemissile operations in potential future conflicts.*Centralised Command for Missile Warfare*
Military and security sources clarified that the Rocket Force Command is *nota new fighting unit*, but rather a centralised *command and control system*aimed at organising, coordinating, and operationalising Pakistan’s existinglong-range conventional artillery.
