The BLA and its Majeed Brigade faction have claimed responsibility forseveral high-profile attacks in Pakistan, including targeted strikes onChinese nationals, Pakistan Army personnel, and state installations.Authorities have long accused these groups of working with foreign sponsorsto destabilise the country.

Islamabad stated that the US move will help curb the operational andfinancial capabilities of these banned organisations by restricting theiraccess to resources, travel, and funding from abroad. “This designationunderscores the importance of a unified international approach to eliminateterrorism in all its forms,” the Foreign Office said.

Pakistan also reiterated its commitment to continue working withinternational partners, including the United States, to counter terroristthreats and ensure regional peace and security. Officials expressed hopethat such coordinated measures will deter extremist elements and supportPakistan’s efforts to maintain stability in Balochistan and beyond.
