ISLAMABAD – Pakistan has strongly rejected what it called the IndianMinistry of External Affairs’ “immature” remarks regarding the Chief ofArmy Staff’s (COAS) reported comments. The Foreign Office described theIndian statement as “yet another attempt to distort facts and twist wordsout of context.”
Dismissing India’s “nuclear blackmail” narrative, Islamabad termed it aself-serving construct aimed at misleading the international community.Pakistan reaffirmed that it remains a responsible nuclear state, withcivilian-controlled command structures and a proven track record ofrestraint on sensitive strategic issues.
The statement further underscored Pakistan’s internationally acknowledgedcounterterrorism efforts, labeling Indian allegations as “baseless anddevoid of evidence.” It condemned New Delhi’s attempt to drag thirdcountries into bilateral disputes, describing it as a sign of “weak andinsecure diplomacy.”
Reiterating its commitment to responsible global conduct, Pakistannonetheless issued a stern warning that any act of Indian aggression orviolation of sovereignty would be met with an “immediate and matchingresponse.” The Foreign Office emphasized that responsibility for anyescalation would rest squarely with India.
