Details Emerged of Israeli Weapons Used by India against Pakistan

New Delhi, August 7, 2025 — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu haspublicly acknowledged that India deployed Israeli-made weapon systemsduring its military campaign, Operation Sindoor, conducting retaliatorystrikes against Pakistan. The systems reportedly used include the jointlydeveloped Barak-8 missile and HARPY loitering drones, both of whichNetanyahu described as “battle-tested” and “working very well in the field.”

The engagement involved a coordinated deployment of multiple platforms.India combined these Israeli-origin systems with indigenous armaments, likeBrahMos and SkyStriker munitions, to repel waves of Pakistani missile anddrone attacks in a nearly 100-hour engagement starting from May 7.Additionally, India’s Russian-supplied S-400 air defense system played akey role in intercepting incoming threats.

Operation Sindoor was launched as a precision-strike campaign inretaliation to a terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on April 22that killed 26 civilians. In the early hours of May 7, India executedcoordinated missile strikes on nine terrorist camps located across Pakistanand Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir, using advanced targeting systems to limitcollateral damage.

Indian officials further claim that more than 100 militants were eliminatedacross the nine targeted “terror hubs,” while avoiding strikes on militaryfacilities—underscoring a calculated, non-escalatory approach.

Beyond the battlefield, countries including the US, UK, Russia, and SaudiArabia were briefed on the operation’s timing and objectives in advance, reflecting attempts at strategic transparency.

In the geopolitical aftermath, Pakistan launched its own Operation Bunyanal-Marsoos targeting Indian military bases, triggering one of the fewdrone-enhanced escalations between the two nuclear-armed neighbors. Aceasefire was eventually brokered, coming into effect on May 10.

Netanyahu’s confirmation of Israeli involvement and the evidenteffectiveness of the supplied weaponry strengthen perceptions of deepeningIndo-Israeli defence collaboration.
