Pakistan, China Deepen Private Sector Cooperation Through CCP-ACFIC Talks

A high-level delegation from the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC) — China’s national chamber representing private enterprises — visited the Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP) and held talks with Chairman Dr. Kabir Ahmed Sidhu on potential investment opportunities.

The delegation, led by Director Yi Jiang, included Mr. Fuzhong Yang, Director for Logistics & Tourism, Mr. Ge Xu, Director, and Mr. Mingqian Sun, Managing Director of Leviathan Holdings Ltd.

During the meeting, Dr. Sidhu outlined Pakistan’s market potential, investment-friendly climate, and the CCP’s role in fostering fair competition, curbing market dominance, and ensuring a transparent regulatory framework that inspires investor confidence. He reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to providing a level playing field for both domestic and foreign enterprises.

ACFIC representatives expressed keen interest in Pakistan’s renewable energy, healthcare, education, and logistics sectors. They commended the CCP’s work in maintaining a strong regulatory environment that promotes efficiency, innovation, and sustainable business practices.

As China’s premier private sector organization, ACFIC operates through more than 3,000 regional federations at the provincial, city, and county levels, playing a key role in policy reform and the advancement of industry, technology, manufacturing, and trade.

Chairman Sidhu welcomed the delegation’s interest and assured them that the CCP remains committed to enabling competitive markets that attract foreign investment and support Pakistan’s long-term economic growth.
