The Pakistani Rupee (PKR) may weaken to over 300 against the US Dollar (USD) by the end of the year, according to some market analysts.
In a poll conducted by brokerage firm Topline Securities ahead of the upcoming monetary policy announcement, participants were also asked to share their expectations for the exchange rate outlook.
According to the results, 51% of respondents believe the PKR will trade between Rs. 285–290 by December 2025. Meanwhile, 15% of participants expect the exchange rate to fall within the 290–295, 295–300, and above 300 ranges, respectively.
Topline Securities itself forecasts the rupee to hover between Rs. 288–292 by the end of 2025, and further depreciate to Rs. 298–302 by June 2026.
As of today, the PKR closed at Rs. 284.97 against the USD in the interbank market.
