PAF Shines at RIAT 2025, Wins Top Honors in World’s Premier Military Airshow

The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) achieved major recognition at the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) 2025, one of the world’s premier military airshows, held from July 18 to 20 in the UK.

PAF’s iconic C-130H Hercules transport aircraft captivated judges with its design and presentation, earning the prestigious Concours d’Elegance Trophy. Meanwhile, the JF-17 Thunder Block-III fighter jet, known for its advanced capabilities, secured the Spirit of the Meet Trophy. This award recognized its eye-catching livery and impressive performance — including a non-stop journey with mid-air refueling — which highlighted Pakistan’s cutting-edge aviation prowess.

The PAF contingent, featuring both the C-130H and JF-17, arrived at RAF Fairford following a demanding air-to-air refueling mission, successfully completing the long-haul flight from Pakistan to the UK.

RIAT, held annually, is among the largest gatherings of military aircraft in the world. The event draws participation from global air forces and supports the Royal Air Force Charitable Trust, maintaining its status as a cornerstone of the international aviation calendar for over 50 years.
