On Monday, the Pakistani rupee depreciated by 14 paisa against the USdollar in interbank trading, closing at Rs 278.70 compared to the previousday’s rate of Rs 278.56.
According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the dollar’s buyingand selling rates in the open market were Rs 278.85 and Rs 280.35,respectively.
Meanwhile, the price of the Euro saw a decline of Rs 1.37, closing at Rs308.21 compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs 309.58, as reported bythe State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
The Japanese yen dropped by 01 paisa, closing at Rs 1.94, while the Britishpound fell by Rs 1.97, trading at Rs 365.22 against the previous rate of Rs367.19.

In contrast, the exchange rates for the Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyalslightly increased by 03 paisa and 05 paisa, closing at Rs 75.87 and Rs74.25, respectively.
