In a tragic incident, senior journalist Nisar Lehri was shot and killed inthe Gul Kand area of Mastung, Balochistan. Police officials confirmed thatLehri, who served as the secretary of the local Press Club, was killed inconnection with a land dispute.
In response to the killing, Faiz Durani, President of the Press Club,demanded the immediate arrest of those responsible. SP Mastung also statedthat raids are currently being conducted to apprehend the suspects involvedin Lehri’s murder.
This incident follows a similar attack last month in Ghotki, Sindh, whereanother journalist, Bachal Ghuniyo, was shot dead by unidentified armedmen. Ghuniyo, who was associated with Awaz TV, was attacked in the Rawantiarea of Ghotki.

After carrying out the killing, the assailants managed to escape. The bodyof the slain journalist was later transported to Ubauro Hospital. Policesuggested that an old enmity might have been the motive behind Ghuniyo’smurder.
