Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir, during his visit toKhairpur Tamewali, stressed that the armed forces are well aware of thechallenges confronting Pakistan. He expressed the full preparedness of themilitary to counter any malicious intentions against the motherland.
This commitment was underlined as the COAS observed the field exercise ofthe Bahawalpur Corps, as detailed in a statement by the Inter-ServicesPublic Relations (ISPR).
COAS Munir, addressing the troops, asserted, “We are cognisant of thechallenges, and with the support of the nation, we are prepared to thwartany nefarious designs of the enemies of Pakistan.” He further stated thatthe Pakistan Army is fully equipped to safeguard the territorial integrityand sovereignty of the country against all potential threats.
Emphasizing the focus on defending the frontiers of the motherland, theCOAS declared that, with the backing of the nation, the Armed Forces arepoised to defeat any adversaries of Pakistan, InshaAllah.
During his visit, COAS Munir also addressed the concerns of a martyr’sdaughter, promising relief. He received a briefing on the field exercise,aimed at enhancing professional skills at various tiers and battlefieldprocedures to meet future challenges in an operational environment.
The army chief witnessed integrated fire and battle manoeuvres involvingelements such as armour, mechanised infantry, artillery, air defence, andanti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs). The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) and CombatAviation provided support during these exercises. In the later stages ofthe visit, COAS Munir interacted with the troops actively participating inthe exercise.
