In Islamabad, a sessions court on Wednesday denied former Prime MinisterImran Khan’s request for acquittal in the case involving the intimidationof a female judge.
The ruling by Civil Judge Muhammad Mureed Abbas occurred during thehearing, where prosecutor Rizwan Abbasi presented his arguments. ImranKhan, facing terrorism charges since August 2022, alleged bias by JudgeZeba Chaudhry and threatened consequences.
It’s worth noting that the FIR was filed just before another policestation received a complaint against Khan for hate speeches.Despite this, Imran had visited Judge Zeba to apologize, submitting anaffidavit to the Islamabad High Court promising not to repeat actionsundermining the judiciary’s dignity.
