Security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in thegeneral area of Kiri Machan Khel, Tank district, resulting in the death ofseven terrorists. The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) released astatement, indicating that the operation occurred during the night betweenNovember 14 and 15, 2023, based on reported terrorist presence.
The operation witnessed an intense exchange of gunfire between the securityforces and the terrorists, leading to the elimination of seven militants.
Additionally, the operation successfully uncovered terrorists’ hideouts,with the recovery of weapons and ammunition. These terrorists were activelyinvolved in various acts of terrorism, including recent target killings ofpolice in Tank and its surroundings.
The ISPR statement mentioned an ongoing sanitization operation aimed ateradicating any remaining terrorists in the area.
