An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.2 has been recorded in the province ofMaluku, Indonesia; however, no tsunami alert has been issued following theearthquake.
According to Chinese news sources, the country’s meteorological andgeological agencies reported that tremors from the earthquake were felt inthe Maluku province of Indonesia.
The earthquake’s epicenter, recorded at a magnitude of 6.2 on the Richterscale, was located 249 kilometers northwest of Tenggara Barat Malukudistrict, 10 kilometers beneath the sea’s surface. No information aboutcasualties or financial losses has been reported.
