In Washington, a US military MQ-9 drone was reportedly shot down by Yemen’sHouthis, as confirmed by two US officials and the Iran-aligned Houthimovement.
While previous instances of Houthi-downed drones have occurred, thisincident adds to the heightened tension in the region, particularly duringthe Israel-Hamas war.
The US officials, requesting anonymity, disclosed that the General Atomicsdrone was brought down off the Yemeni coast, without specifying if itoccurred in international airspace.
