Lahore: In Punjab, it has been announced to observe a holiday from Thursdayto Sunday due to the worst air pollution conditions caused by smog.
According to details, a meeting of the Punjab cabinet, chaired by ChiefMinister Mohsin Naqvi, was held, in which the Punjab government decided togrant a holiday from Thursday to Sunday due to the worst air pollutionconditions in the province. The Punjab government stated that from Thursdayto Sunday, government schools and offices will be closed, and schools,colleges, offices, restaurants, and markets will also remain closed.
The Chief Minister of Punjab will announce the government’s policyshortly. It should be noted that Lahore is currently experiencing airpollution; however, after a decrease in the rate of air pollution, the AirQuality Index has dropped below 400.
