Four Pakistan Army officials, including a lieutenant colonel, tragicallylost their lives during an intelligence-based operation in the generalvicinity of Tirah, Khyber District, as reported by the military’s mediawing on Monday.
The operation was conducted due to reported terrorist presence in the area,according to Inter Services Public Relations Pakistan (ISPR).
ISPR stated, “During the operation, troops under the leadership ofLieutenant Colonel Muhammad Hassan Haider effectively engaged the terroristlocation. As a result, three terrorists were eliminated, and three otherswere injured. Regrettably, during the intense exchange of gunfire, fourcourageous individuals, namely Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Hassan Haider,Naik Khushdil Khan, Naik Rafique Khan, and Lance Naik Abdul Qadir,valiantly sacrificed their lives for their country.” A sanitization operation is currently underway to ensure the completeelimination of any remaining terrorists in the area, as per ISPR.
