The U.S. Central Command has stated that the United States has deployednuclear submarines to the Middle East.
CENTCOM announced the arrival of an Ohio-class nuclear submarine in theU.S. Central Command area of responsibility on November 5, 2023. This marksthe first time the U.S. has sent nuclear submarines to the Middle East.
According to Israeli reports, the United States possesses 20 nuclearsubmarines, including four American nuclear submarines capable of launchingTomahawk missiles, while the remaining 14 submarines are capable of firingballistic missiles.
