Maulana Fazal ur Rehman, the chief of Jamiat-e-Ulema Islam, has traveled toQatar in the midst of the Israeli invasion of Gaza to meet with Hamasleaders. He is also scheduled to visit Turkiye. Rehman left the countryduring the night between Friday and Saturday, and the details of his visitare being kept confidential for security reasons.
During his visit, the JUI chief plans to meet with Hamas leader IsmailHaniyeh and former Hamas leader Khalid Mashal. Additionally, he will holddiscussions with government officials in both Qatar and Turkiye with theaim of advocating for a ceasefire.
Maulana Fazal ur Rehman’s visit is expected to last for one week, and he isanticipated to return on November 11.
There is a possibility that he might also visit Gaza refugee camps inLebanon or Turkiye. This visit to Gaza follows Rehman’s participation in arally in Karachi, where he expressed solidarity with the people ofPalestine. The rally was named ‘Toofan-e-Aqsa’.
