On Saturday, a court in Islamabad placed former National Assembly (NA)speaker and senior PTI leader Asad Qaiser in judicial remand.
Earlier, Asad Qaiser appeared in front of Judicial Magistrate Qudrutullah.During the proceedings, the SHO requested the court to grant judicialremand for the PTI leader, explaining that it was necessary for theanti-corruption department officials to take him into custody.
On the other hand, the assistant lawyer representing the PTI asked themagistrate for a brief delay as Barrister Gohar Ali Khan was en route andwould soon arrive at the court.

Following the court’s decision, the police transported Asad Qaiser toAdiala Jail in Rawalpindi. Asad Qaiser had been arrested by the police fromhis residence in the Bani Gala area of Islamabad the day before oncorruption charges.
