In Pakistan, on Friday, gold prices saw a significant increase in thedomestic market. The tola price witnessed a rise of Rs1100. The price of 24karat gold, a valuable yellow metal, surged by Rs1100, reaching Rs214,400per tola, as reported by the association. Similarly, the rate for 10 gramsof this precious metal increased by Rs943, settling at Rs183,813.
On the international front, gold lacked momentum on Friday as investorsexercised caution in anticipation of the US non-farm payrolls report.
This report was expected to provide insights into the direction of theFederal Reserve’s monetary policy. Spot gold remained nearly unchanged at$1,986.24 per ounce, while U.S. gold futures showed minimal fluctuations at$1,994.00.
In contrast, spot silver experienced a 0.6 percent decline, reaching $22.62per ounce, marking its second consecutive weekly loss.
