Pakistan’s versatile cricketer, Shoaib Malik, has made a significantannouncement, creating a buzz in the cricketing world. He declared hisavailability for the ICC T20 World Cup in 2024, which is set to take placein the West Indies and the United States.
In an interview with A-Sports, Shoaib Malik expressed his strong desire tocontribute to Pakistan’s success and secure their second T20 World Cuptitle in 2024. He confidently stated, “I would be delighted to bring theT20 World Cup home for Pakistan. My physical fitness is excellent, and I’mas fit as I was in my younger days. I’m ready and available whenever thePakistan Cricket Board (PCB) contacts me.”
It’s worth noting that Shoaib Malik previously captained Pakistan in the2007 ICC World T20 in South Africa, where the team finished as runners-upafter a final match against India.
He was also part of the squad that clinched their maiden T20 World Cuptitle in England two years later. With an impressive record of 124 T20International appearances, Shoaib Malik has amassed 2,435 runs, includingnine half-centuries. He boasts an average of 31.2 and a formidable strikerate of 125.6.
