An agreement has been reached between the President of the country and theElection Commission to hold general elections on February 8, 2024.
According to a statement issued by the President’s office, a meeting tookplace in the Presidential Palace today, attended by the Chief ElectionCommissioner of Pakistan, Sikandar Sultan Raja, Attorney General forPakistan, Mansoor Awan, and four members of the Election Commission ofPakistan.
During the meeting, discussions were held regarding the scheduling offuture general elections in the country. The President of the countryemphasized the importance of constituency delimitation and election-relatedmatters from the Election Commission.
