In Karachi, the cost of a tola of gold surged by Rs1286 in Pakistan onThursday. As reported by the All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Association(APGJA), the price of 24 Karat gold per tola in the country has now reachedRs213,300.
Furthermore, due to the weakening of the rupee against the US Dollar, theassociation noted a rise of 1179 rupees, making 10 grams of 24 karat goldpriced at Rs182,870.
The association also pointed out that the international market saw anincrease in the price of gold by $9, reaching $2005 per ounce.
