England fast bowler David Willey, aged 33, declared his decision to retirefrom international cricket after the culmination of the ICC World Cup 2023hosted in India. This announcement was made on a Wednesday, marking theconclusion of his notable career in representing the national team.
Notably, when the English cricket board recently unveiled their updatedcentral contracts, David Willey did not receive any offers, leaving himwithout a spot on the roster.
Consequently, he will now have the liberty to participate in variousfranchise-based cricket leagues across the globe, expanding his horizons inthe sport.
Throughout his career, the left-arm bowler has accumulated a remarkablerecord, having played 70 one-day international matches, which also includesthree appearances in the ongoing World Cup, and an additional 43 T20Internationals since his debut for England in 2015.
