News of a potential alliance between the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) andthe Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) is circulating ahead of the generalelections. Senior journalist Azaz Syed has analyzed the situation,suggesting that the PTI is targeting Punjab while the PPP is focusing onSindh, and both parties are in close proximity to achieving their goals.
Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari have the ability to turn theimpossible into possible. During a conversation on Geo News, Azaz Syedpointed out that the reduced hostilities in politics are attributed to theabsence of PTI Chairman Imran Khan. Imran Khan is currently in jail, andthe political atmosphere has become less confrontational, particularlyafter the reduction in political rhetoric.
Azaz Syed noted that there is no animosity between the PTI and PPP as theyhave common elements. Asad Qaiser and Ali Muhammad Khan have met withMaulana Fazlur Rehman in the past, and their contacts have been maintained.Furthermore, during the vote of no-confidence, the PTI had reached out tothe PPP and sent a message of support to Asif Zardari.
However, Asif Zardari declined the offer. At present, both the PTI and PPPare in close proximity to their respective goals. The lawyers of the PPPare representing Imran Khan, and Bilawal Bhutto did not object to it.
