ISLAMABAD: Government will issue presidential ordinance to privatize the PIA to fulfill the condition of IMF. Government will not present bill for voiding the act of PIA 1965 because of apposition.
Pakistan is bound to give ads in newspapers for privatization of PIA before the end of this month and complete the process of privatization till June next year under the IMF $ 6.2 billion loan programme.
As per sources, PIA act could be null and void before the NA assembly session which will held on December 7. The officials also said that it will be second time in this week when government will bypass parliament for the fulfillment of IMF conditions.
