PM Nawaz Sharif allows PCB to play cricket series against India in Sri Lanka

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif allowed Pakistan Cricket Board to play cricket series with India in Sri Lanka.

“Given the current security situation, PCB should hold short series with India at a third location,” a PM House statement said quoting the premier. The permission letter has been received by PCB chairman.

Earlier, PCB chairman had written a letter to PM Nawaz for the permission to play series with India because India had refused to play series in UAE.

While talking to media yesterday, Sheharyar said the final decision to play cricket series with India will be taken after the permission of PM Nawaz Sharif. On the other hand, BCCI also has written a letter to India government for playing series with Pakistan in Sri Lanka.

While Sri Lankan authorities said that it will be fortuned for them to conduct series of both countries.
