Police confirmed the incident occurred around 7:05 pmnear a girls’ high school wall, with the deceased succumbing to injuries enroute to hospital. Rescue teams swiftly responded, shifting victims to thedistrict teaching hospital where conditions of the injured remain stable.
Authorities have identified the explosion as a deliberate grenade attack,prompting an immediate investigation by local police and bomb disposalsquads. Station House Officer Ghulam Ali Abro stated that security forcescordoned off the site, collecting evidence to determine motives andperpetrators. No group has claimed responsibility yet, though the provincehas seen similar targeted incidents amid ongoing security challenges.
The blast caused chaos as residents and shopkeepers fled, with some nearbyvehicles and structures sustaining minor damage from the impact.Eyewitnesses described a loud detonation followed by screams and confusionin the crowded locality.
