Sindh Government declares March 24 as public holiday on eve of Hindu festival of Holi

KARACHI: Sindh Government has declared public holiday on March 24 on the eve of Hindu festival Holi while notification of holiday has also been issued by the Sindh government in this regard.

According to the Spokesperson of Sindh CM, it is the first in Pakistan that public holiday has been announced on the eve of Holi while previously holiday was only declared for Hindus by the government.

It is also worthy to mention here that a resolution had been passed by National Assembly to take steps for declaring Holi, Dewali, and Easter as holidays for minorities.
