ISLAMABAD: Dollar Girl Ayyan Ali has been stopped by Supreme Court to leave for abroad here at Thursday suspending the decision of removing her name from Exit Control List.
As per details, the plea of custom officials against the verdict of Sindh HC was heard by 3 member bench of Supreme Court headed by Justice Ijaz Afzal Khan.
Custom officials took plea during the hearing that Sindh HC ordered to remove Ayyan Ali name from ECL but she was facing case of currency smuggling in trial courts so her name should be maintained in ECL.
Latif Khosa, counsel of Model Ayyan Ali raised objection on the plea of custom officials saying that custom officials do not have the authority to file petition against the verdict of Sindh HC because only federal government has the powers to do so.
While rejecting the objection of Latif Khosa SC issued notice to Ayyan Ali and called for reply within one week.
While issuing the stay order on the verdict of Sindh HC, SC ordered to maintain her name in ECL for one week.
It is also worthy to mention here that Sindh HC ordered to remove the name of Model Ayyan Ali from ECL on 7 March.
