ISLAMABAD: Overseas Pakistanis have sent back home $9.73 billion remittances in first six month (July to September) of Fiscal Year 2015 while in previous fiscal year $ 9.16 billion remittances were sent by oversees Pakistanis.
It is showing a growth of 6.26%.
As per details, Pakistan received $ 503.2 million remittances from Saudi Arabia while $ 341.55 received from UAE and $ 212.1 million through USA. Overseas Pakistanis sent $ 193.72 million from British, $ 213.29 million from gulf countries and $ 37.14 million by EU countries in Pakistan.
$ 136.06 million remittances received by Pakistan from Norway, Switzerland, Australia, Canada and Japan in December 2015 while $ 102.88 remittances was sent in Pakistan form same countries in December 2014.
