ISLAMABAD: US Ambassador David Halle met with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Islamabad. It was the first meeting of David Halle with PM Nawaz after taking diplomatic responsibilities.

As per details, affairs related to mutual interest were discussed in meeting. PM Nawaz said that both countries need to enhance bilateral ties and cooperation in different economic fields.

The recent visit of Indian PM Modi in Pakistan is a big breakthrough and both countries should resolve their issues through dialogues. PM Nawaz added.

On the other hand, US ambassador David appreciated sincere efforts of Pakistan for restoring peace dialogues with India. He also lauded Pakistan’s efforts for the elimination of terrorism.

Special Assistant to Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi was also present in meeting.
