“Pakistan is hosting some three million Afghans and the Afghan government should respect this overture of Pakistan,” he said.
He said the governments of Pakistan and Afghanistan should resolve the recent firing incident politically and diplomatically.
The Senator said there are total 78 crossing points at Pak-Afghan border while out of these, only 16 points are notified as Pakistan shares very long border with Afghanistan.
Both the countries have clear understanding and resolve that their soil should not be used for terrorist activities against each other, he said adding that both the countries should respect this resolve.
Abdul Qayyum said the PML-N government has initiated the move for registration of Afghan refugees and for their return to Afghanistan.
