Indian Police crack down against Hurriyet Leaders in IOK

ISLAMABAD, May 27 (APP): Indian Police crack down against Hurriyet Leaders in IOK

The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik has strongly condemned the police operation against pro-freedom leadership terming it as most undemocratic, uncivilized and unethical behavior of India and its puppets in the territory.

Muhammad Yasin Malik, who was arrested by Indian police to prevent leading protest, said that the spree of arrests, house arrests, restrictions, nocturnal raids and harassments were clear signs of frustration of the authorities, reported KMS.

Yasin Malik said that by putting all opponents behind bars and suppressing their voices, the so-called Mufti regime had shown its real dictatorial face. He said such oppressive measures cannot deter Kashmiris from perusing the path of truth and resistance and so-called rulers.

He said that people of Jammu Kashmir through today’s peaceful protest strike had shown their anger against the proposed conspiratorial plots of the puppet rulers of constructing Israeli type settlements for Pandits and soldiers to grab more Kashmiri land, change its demography and turn majority into a minority.

Meanwhile, police arrested JKLF Vice Chairman Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi and district president Pulwama Javed Ahmad Butt from their residence in raids. Police also raided the residences of JKLF leaders Noor Muhammad Kalwal, Muhammad Yasin Butt and Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri and harassed.
