ISLAMABAD: (APP) Excise and Taxation Office (ETO) Islamabad is giving complete benefit to the tax filers registering their vehicles with the authority.
The official source at Excise Office Islamabad on Monday told APP that masses are advised to mention their status as well as NTN number on the various forms following which fee concession is given to people during registration of vehicles having different engine capacity.
He said that Federal Board of Revenue has also introduced facility to determine filer/non-filer status of the taxpayers from the Active Taxpayers List. Following this facility, the status is rechecked by the Excise Office and tax on registration of motor vehicles is being received as per notification of FBR. This verification is made by simply typing `ATL space 13 digit CNIC NO’ and sending it on `9966′ from the mobile phone.
He said that every motor vehicle registering authority of Excise and Taxation Department is collecting advance tax at the time of registration of a motor vehicle, at the rates specified in Division VII of Part IV of the First Schedule.
