ISLAMABAD: (APP) The Indus River System Authority (IRSA) on Friday approved 18 percent water cut for Punjab and Sindh while Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan would get their full share for Rabi 2016, from October 1.

The decision was taken in IRSA Advisory committee meeting which was presided over by its Chairman Rao Irshad Ali.
The Advisory committee reviewed and finalized water share of the provinces in light of water availability for the Rabi season.

According to the IRSA calculation, the provinces would get total 30.10 million acres feet water in the Rabi season, Punjab would get 10.6 MAF, Sindh 10.2 MAF, Balochistan 1.2 MAF and KPK 0.7 MAF water during the season.
