PESHAWAR (APP): The district administration here on Friday imposed section 144 banning pillion riding and standing on rooftops of the buildings on routes prescribed for mourning procession.

In a notification issued from the office of Deputy Commissioner, Riaz Mehsood, section 144 has been imposed in the district under which people would not be allowed to go on rooftops till 10th Muharram.
The notification further said that entry of Afghans would be banned in Cantonment area while from 8th to 10th Muharram pillion riding would also not be allowed. Tented glasses of vehicles and use of loud speakers in mosques except from Azaan and Khutba would also be not allowed.

Exhibiting arms, wall chalking and printing of any objectionable literature would also be strictly banned for a period of one month.
It said all arms factories and shops of arms dealers shall remain closed from 8th to 10th Muharram.
