PESHAWAR (APP): The teachers of Peshawar University observed a strike here on Monday against Universities Act saying they were not taken onboard while promulgating the Act.
General Secretary PUTA, Dr Iqbal said teachers were observing boycott of the classes as their opinion was ignored during preparation of the Act and moreover time and again amendments were made in this Act.

Dr Iqbal further said the Act should have been finalized after proper consultation with the teachers’ representative and then promulgated.
He said if this Act was not revoked, the domain of this strike would be extended to other universities.
