ISLAMABAD: (APP) Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has seized mega seizure of Hashish weighing 3.5 Tons worth Rs 3.8 billion in international market and arrested 31 persons including drug suppliers to educational institutions and confiscated five vehicles.
In 25 operations, 450 gram Heroin and 5.8 Kg Opium was also seized.
ANF Lahore while carrying out an intelligence led operation seized 3.5 Ton Hashish.
According to details here on Thursday, ANF received information through its intelligence wing regarding smuggling of huge drug consignment and on pursuance of information, ANF Punjab Team established a road check.
During the course of surveillance, a Truck (Mercedes Benz) was intercepted near Haroon Bus Stand, Thokar Niaz Baig, Lahore. Search of the truck led to seizure of 3500 Kg Hashish, which is the biggest ever drug catch in Punjab.
Hashish was concealed inside the concrete mixer machine fixed on 10 wheeler truck. A driver of the truck Khurshid Khan, resident of Landi Kotel was arrested at the spot.
In other operations, ANF Lahore recovered 250 Gram from possession an accused namely Hammad Ali, resident of Lahore, who was arrested from Mughal Pura, Lahore.
Yet in another operation, ANF Lahore recovered 2.4 Kg Hashish from Mazhar Hussain, resident of Lahore, who was arrested while travelling on a motorcycle near Gourmet Bakers, Liaqat Chowk, Main Bouleward, Sabzazar, Lahore.
In fourth operation, ANF Lahore recovered 170 Gram Heroin from a drug peddler namely Khushi Muhammad, resident of Gujranwala who was arrested from Rehman Colony, Gujranwala.
In fifth operation ANF Lahore recovered 115 Gram Hashish from possession of Ghulam Abbas near Niazi Bus Stand, Band Road, Lahore.
In sixth operation, ANF Lahore recovered 125 Gram Hashish from Muhammad Naseem while arresting him near Rizwan Academy, Green Town, Lahore.
In seventh operation, ANF Lahore arrested drug peddlers, Yasir Ghaffar and Muhammad Abbas, residents of Multan and recovered 105 Gram Hashish from their personal possession. They were arrested near Chaman Rewri & Bakers, Sher Shah Road, Multan.
In eighth operation, ANF Lahore recovered 105 Gram Heroin from Adil Hussain and Sher Khan, residents of Multan who were arrested main gate Baha-ud-Din Zakria University, Multan.
In ninth operation, ANF Lahore raided near Punjab College, Mianwali and arrested a drug peddler Haji Imran, resident of Mianwali along with 115 Gram Hashish from his possession.
In other operations, ANF Lahore while raiding near University of Educator, College Road, Lahore and arrested Shahzad Masih resident of Lahore along with 130 Gram Hashish from his personal possession. ANF Lahore intercepted two persons while they were riding on a motorcycle near Mian Channo More, Burewala, Vehari and recovered 120 Gram Heroin from their possession.
The accused persons were identified as Allah Ditta and Javed Akhtar, residents of Vehari.
In an operation, ANF Lahore intercepted Toyota Corolla XLI Car near China Chowk Sialkot and arrested Muhammad Qamar, resident of Gujrat along with 550 Gram Hashish, which was found in his personal possession.
ANF Lahore also arrested a local drug supplier namely Irshad Hussain, resident of Khushab along with recovery of 110 Gram Heroin.
The accused was arrested near Government Boys High School, Rangpur, Khushab.
ANF Rawalpindi while raiding conduct near Saalar Chowk, Attock recovered 1.2 Kg Hashish from two drug peddlers identified as Hukam Khan resident of Nowshera and Haibat Khan, resident of Attock.
In another operation, ANF Rawalpindi recovered 800 Gram Hashish from Muhammad Usaman and Kamran Khaliq, residents of Attock, who were arrested at Farooq Azam Chowk, Attock.
Yet in another operation, ANF Rawalpindi apprehended a local drug supplier Nisar Ahmed, resident of Attock along with 150 Gram Heroin.
He was arrested from Shakar Dara Railway Pathak, Basal Road, Attock.
In fourth operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested a drug peddler named Malang Jan, resident of Peshawar near Gangal Chowk, Express Highway, Islamabad and recovered 130 Gram Hashish from his possession.
ANF Peshawar Road Check Team during routine checking near main Motorway Toll Plaza, Peshawar, arrested a passenger namely Zafar Ullah, resident of Peshawar and recovered 1.1 Kg Hashish concealed in his shoes. He was arrested while travelling in a passenger van.
In another operation, ANF Peshawar arrested Amir, resident of Attock and recovered 100 Gram Hashish from his possession. He was arrested near Motorway Toll Plaza, Peshawar while travelling in a passenger bus.
Yet in another operation, ANF Peshawar arrested a drug supplier identified as Sadaqat Ali, resident of Haripur near Al-Meezan CNG, Swat Chowk, Haripur, recovering 120 Gram Hashish from his possession.
ANF Karachi while striking near Old Sabzi Mandi, Kamal Colony, University Road, Karachi arrested four drug peddlers named Muhammad Ali, Nisar Ahmed, Muhammad Ehsan and Ahmed Shah, residents of Karachi and recovered 2.9 Kg Hashish their possession.
In another operation ANF Karachi recovered 4.5 Kg Hashish from a drug supplier identified as Matiullah, resident of Karachi who was arrested near Saifullah Hotel, Jalalabad, Kachi Abadi, Nazimabad, Karachi.
Yet in another operation ANF Karachi recovered 6.1 Kg Hashish from personal possession of an accused Waseem Khan, resident of Karachi who was arrested near Bangash Hotel, Nazimabad, Karachi.
ANF Quetta intercepted a motorcyclist identified as Dost Muhammad resident of Quetta near Allied Bank Ltd, Jinnah Town, Quetta and recovered 1.9 Kg Hashish and 5.8 Kg Opium concealed in his luggage.
All cases have been registered at respective ANF Police Stations and further investigations are underway.
