Councillors level allegations of abduction against PML-N leaders in LB Elections

MULTAN (APP): Councillor of Municipal Committee Jalalpur Pirwala Sajjad Hussain Bokhari alleged that he was abducted to keep him away from taking part in polling process for last phase of local bodies election.

Sajjad Bokhari, along with other councillors of Naghma Mushtaq group Jalalpur Pirwala while holding press conference demanded the Election Commission to take notice of his abduction. He alleged that he was abducted for keeping him away from taking part in polling process. He demanded to declare Chairman Municipal Committee result null and void.

It is pertinent to mention here, there were two groups, one is led by MNA Qasim Noon and the other group led by Provincial Minister Naghma Mushtaq. Both the groups were claiming equal number of votes in Municipal Committee Jalalpur Pirwala as nine votes each. There were total 18 councillors in Jalalpur Pirwala.

FATA Reforms: Local bodies election in FATA announced

On polling day, MNA Qasim Noon group got nine votes but rival group could not achieve any vote because they did not cast votes due to alleged abduction of their colleague councillor.
