ALLAHABAD: Allahabad High Court calls instant triple divorce unconstitutional and a violation against women rights. The decision by Indian court was considered as an intervention in Muslim religious affairs.
However, The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) rejected court’s order and said that triple divorce is a matter of Islamic Shariah. The board criticised Narendra Modi government, calling the act as an enforcement of civil code.
