ISLAMABAD, Feb 3 (APP): A man was gunned down by Islamabad police after evading a checkpost in sector I-10 here on Friday.
According to a private news channel, the incident took place when security officer tried to stop a car at the checkpost and opened fire when the driver didn’t put on the brakes.
Reportedly, the local identified as Taimor Riaz lost his life on the spot whereas the woman sitting beside him remainedsafe.
Getting information about the incident, police arrived at the scene and shifted the body to Pakistan Institute of MedicalSciences (PIMS) hospital for further process.
The security personnel have also launched a search operationto detain the officer.
