ISLAMABAD: Leaders of Opposition in the Senate and National Assembly on Friday demanded to constitute a judicial commission instead of Joint Investigation Team (JIT) to investigate Panama papers issue.
Talking to media outside the Parliament House, Leader of Opposition in the Senate Chaudhry Aitzaz Ahsan and Leader of Opposition in National Assembly Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah collectively spoke out for a Judicial Commission to ensure fair trial.
“Whenever the Parliament has faced a bad time, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) stood with the government to save democracy and supremacy of the Parliament,” he added.
While Aitzaz Ahsan said the verdict was as historic as that of Maulvi Tameezuddin.
He was of the view that Imran Khan, Sheikh Rashid and Siraj ul Haq were petitioners and they should go for review of decision on Panama Papers. (APP)
