PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Senior Minister for Local Government and Rural Development Department Inayatullah has said that Dir Bala is not less in beauty than Switzerland and vowed that development of tourism in the area would usher a new era of economic prosperity.
He said beautiful camping pods at four different points and a new stadium would be established, while Rs. 3 million would be spent over the renovation of the existing stadium.
He said this presiding over a meeting at Peshawar on Monday regarding promotion of sports and tourism in Dir Bala.
MPA Muhammad Ali, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Additional Chief Secretary Muhammad Azam Khan, Secretary Tourism Tariq, DC Dir Bala Usman Mehsud, Programme Coordinator Col. Shujaat and TMO Dir Bala Bad shah Zada were present on the occasion.
Inyatullah hoped that due to the efforts of the government large number of tourists would visit and foreigner investors would invest in tourism sector at Dir Bala in future. (APP)
