Pakistan rendered unmatched sacrifices for Afghan refugees

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Standing Committee for Finance in National Assembly, Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh Monday said that Pakistan made unprecedented sacrifices for Afghan refugees.

Talking to PTV, he said that unprovoked firing from Afghan sides at Chaman area was an unfortunate incident adding the issue must be resolved through talks.

He said that Pakistan had traditional relationship with Afghanistan and all the matters or issues should be addressed through talks between the two countries.

He said that a delegation from Afghanistan should have discussion on the current matters with Pakistan so that brotherly relations between the two countries could be strengthened.

To a question, he said that Pakistan was ensuring ‘border fencing’ from its side and the Afghanistan should also take measures so that undesirable incidents could be avoided in future.

Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh said that peace in both Pakistan and Afghanistan were important for progress and prosperity of the region. (APP)
