China says following the new U.N. Security Council sanctions on North Korea’s ballistic missile tests, talks are necessary to resolve the issue.

Talking on the sidelines of a regional foreign ministers’ meeting in Manila, China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi said, the U.N. resolution’s call for a return to talks emphasized that diplomatic and peaceful means are necessary to avoid tensions.
