CTD report makes startling revelations about Karachi Jail terrorist network

KARACHI – A CTD reports has surfaced after law-enforcement agencies carried out a raid on a tip-off intelligence agencies at Central Jail Karachi. Subsequently, two terrorists were arrested, who were looking over the recruitment for Daesh since the past two years, sources said.

Both the arrested persons have so far recruited 30 prisoners into Daesh, while 12 out of the count have managed to come out on bail and their whereabouts are not known since, as per the sources. The law-enforcement agencies have raided the houses of the missing recruits but they have not yet been found.

A report by the Counter-Terrorism Department has revealed that terrorists imprisoned at Central Jail Karachi had access to the prison’s record room and sensitive document. The report has come months after the escape of two high-value inmates.This is not the first instance of militant or criminal activity surfaced from the jail premises.

In June, two members of banned militant outfit Lashkar-e-Jhangvi managed to escape Central Jail Karachi. The two under-trial prisoners, Sheikh Muhammad alias Firon and Ahmed Khan alias Manako, were present in the jail’s judicial complex for a hearing when they managed to escape, an official had said.
