RAWALPINDI: Afghanistan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Mr Omar Zakhilwal met Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at GHQ on Wednesday.

Issues of mutual interest including security situation were discussed. The gradual improvement in bilateral cooperation was also noted with satisfaction.

Earlier the Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani while speaking at the United Nations has urged Pakistan for dialogues to improve the bilateral relations.

Pakistan and Afghanistan have been accusing each other over the issue of the cross border terrorism which has deteriorated the bilateral relations.
